I have an epiphone sheraton II that I installed a pup I got from jerry amalfitano, he is local and his pups are amazing, everything I have heard is great, for me it was easy, just went to his place and found the right ones, the split coil tones are better than most strat pups, clear articulate just amazing. Pups I have used are the rio grande texas bbqs, have those on both my LPs, my fat strat has a rio grande double tall boy, great tone as well. The pups have to be 4 conductor humbuckers the pup I have used have all given me very good single coil tones and humbucker tone as well. I buy the pots locally, they are usually cheaper, and I replace both the tone pots in my gibsons, and I have used this on my fat strat as well to get the split coils on bridge pup Never was a lover of the humbucker tone either i had an LP special with P-90s that I played instead of my LP with humbuckers because the tone was so addicting, I have split coils Humbuckers which give me the single coil and humbucker tones in the same pups, I use the dimarzio push pull 500K pot and a wiring diagram I got from the seymour duncan site.
